Happy Birthday Lola!

Go shorty. It’s your birthday.

Three years ago today, Lola came home with me after years living at the Tree House Humane Society, a wonderful place for which I am eternally grateful. It breaks my heart to think of all the time she spent in a shelter, waiting for me to come and take her home. It makes her arrival that much sweeter and worthy of celebration!

Because her arrival date falls in close proximity to Cinco de Mayo, and to honor her spicy Latina heritage, Lola’s birthday is traditionally celebrated by wearing sombreros and eating Mexican food. I officially invite you to join in the festivities today and raise a burrito in her honor :)

Feliz Compleaños Lola !

Hola! Happy birthday Lola! I know, I’m always saddened when I think of the time my pretties spent in shelters. But at least they live in the lap of luxury {defined by their faux fur blankets} now. Big birthday smooch to Lola! Hope you are enjoying the first week of May!

So, Auntie Peaches, of course you’re taking Lola (she is a showgirl!) to the Copa… Copacabana… the hottest spot north of Havana… for her birthday, right?? Feliz Cumpleaños, Lola! xo

Now you’re freaking me out. OUR birthdays are really close and out cats’ birthdays are too? My kitty’s is on 5/5 – or at least that is what her rescuer gave her. Happy birthday to Lola!

Happy birthday to the best pipe cleaner hat model out there! I still remember the day I found our (not-so-little anymore) kitty. Here’s to many more sombrero-wearing, burrito-eating birthdays!
