Although, if you have a munchkin at home like these little ladies, I’m guessing the answer is no. Sadly, despite its name friendly name, the Mermaid Parade isn’t exactly munchkin-friendly. Hello tattooed bearded lady! Did you paint that bikini all by yourself?

So for everyone who can’t make it to the parade this weekend, for whatever reason, I thought it might be fun to make some mermaid hats.
I heart hats. I heart craft foam. Tada, a parade is born!

ReplyDeleteI love passing on the weirdness to munchkins! You got yourself some pretty little models there, they pull off your creations almost as well as Lola. Nice one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a couple of sweethearts! My munchkins would luv this project! We can wear them at the pool!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo easy and lovely! Those stickers are super cool, and of course I can see doing all kinds of themed hats this way. A craft is born! And I think the netting really makes it extra mermaidy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Girls! Wonderful Project.
ReplyDeleteMy hero! Those are beyond fab...
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun too :]
Look at those two; they are rocking their mermaid hats! Great kid craft Peaches, with endless potential!
ReplyDeleteI went to the mermaid parade yesterday and despite all the nudity, it was quite family friendly. There were several kiddie mermaids IN the parade, including a little girl on 15-ft tall stilts, carrying a parasole that read "It's my birthday!" She was pretty amazing. There were also at least 3 pregnant mermaids, but that's another story.
