Barbara, a longtime reader and fiend, sent me an email to ask if I knew of any cool ways to use some of her son’s old legos. He has outgrown them now, and even though she plans to eventually pass them along to a relative (who is a bit too young at the moment), she was wondering, “Can they serve some other purpose?”
What a great question! Barbara, I have no idea what so ever! Thank goodness these other people came up with stuff far more fabulous than anything I could ever come up with! Exclamation point!
PS: Here is a Pinterest board with oodles of other ideas!
You can also use them to cover an unattractive lamp base.
I am a Lego hoarder. I don’t know if I want to release some of my stash to make stuff, though. I have a Lego board on Pinterest and have pinned most of those pictures. I think Lego is the ultimate toy.
I would be really careful what I do with “unwanted” Legos! I am now 47 and am buying and building with them again! Midlife crisis? I think not! Just want to build really cool stuff again! And am loving it!
amazingly inspiring! loving your blog..

I really love the brick patch one as a sort of graffiti-type street art thing. But I wonder how long they’d stay in place before someone would pry them out. I mean, where I come from Legos are a precious commodity.
The Legos in the brick repair have probably been glued together with epoxy. It’s common to do that when using them for artworks and apparently home repair. However, my son would probably kill me if I did any of these with his.
