If there is one thing I know, it’s paper flowers. Literally, I wrote a book on it (coming to you September 2016!) (< that was a subtle plug) ( > this is my not so subtle plug in hoping y’all will buy a copy when the time comes, and not just because it’s mine, but because I’m tired of the internet telling us that making paper flowers requires 35 steps and a $46 shipment of Italian crepe paper, and I wanted a book that demonstrated otherwise – THIS IS IT!). But I digress…
The good folks at I Love to Create asked me to share a simple, straightforward paper flower craft you can make in a matter of minutes. And you know what? This honker will impress your pants off. It’s large here, but you can make it teensy, or blow it up bigger than your coffee table. I worked hard to get the formula right and the steps are simple enough for a kindergartner.
Mothers Day. Cinco deMayo. Birthdays. Tuesdays. Everyday is a great day to make paper flowers!
Get your tissue paper ready and head on over for the tutorial!
POW! That slapped me across the face and woke me up. Fantastique, my dear!
Whoa, I want to be in line for your book! Your flowers are magical! What is the name of your book and is it on pre-order yet?
So pretty!
Woah – helloooooo flower! I’ve made tissue pom moms before but this is SO much better – can’t wait to try this technique out.
I want this book in my hands so bad. Please let us know the minute we can pre-order.
I <3 your crafts!
I love that the back of this wonderful bloom is flat, and your suggestion for a magnet or thumbtack is genius too–very cool to make it a ‘saver’ from the other usual present wrapping!
Holy crap I can’t wait to buy that book!!! Yay yay yay! And congrats!!
Thanks for the great tutorial. I just used one of these spectacular flowers to top a gift for my one year old niece. Not only did it look fabulous, but she liked the flower more than the gift!
Loved the flowers!!! My favorite colors but have to get to the craft store for supplies…
I tried to print but got a “source error”… but will save the directions someway!
Thanks so much for the idea as this one sounds easier than some others…
Keep the crafts coming… Judy
YOU ARE MY GO-TO PAPER FLOWER GIRL!!! I was just falling down a Pinterest black hole looking for paper flower ideas to put up on this giant blue wall I painted in the nursery and thought- “what the heck am I doing here? Just go ask Aunt Peaches, duh.” Thanks, mama! <3
I made a bouquet using these flowers in my school project, brought back many memories <3
