Today is the day! You can now see The Muppets in movie theaters across the USA. Who is going tonight? If you are cooking up a turkey storm for tomorrow, I’m guessing the answer is no. If you aren’t doing the cooking for tomorrow, I suggest you do the cook a favor and get out of their way. Get out of the house and go to see the movie!
You can imagine how THRILLED I was when this beauty arrived. Peach made is especially for me –bright orange and just my size with lots of Muppety flair! I will be wearing this hat to the movies tonight, and throughout the winter. The whole neighborhood might come to know me as The Crazy Orange Hat Lady. Mission accomplished!

Walmart has Animal slippers! They’re freakin awesome.

Ok, so it’s 7 months later, but I just have to tell a possibly interesting trivial side note: that song was playing in every bar during my husband’s bachelor party pub crawl. Apparently it was a big retro hit with the Goth crowd that year.
Eveytime I hear it, I see some boy with black eyeliner and a tear tattoo and green hair singing it…and it makes me laugh all over again.

Fascinating story about the mahna mahna song…http://www.slate.com/articles/arts/culturebox/2011/11/_mahna_mahna_how_a_ditty_from_a_soft_core_italian_movie_became_the_muppets_catchiest_tune_.single.html

We got season one of the Muppet Show on Netflix and my kids (8 & 9) have watched it multiple times. Last year my 9 year old went as Beaker for Halloween and this year he was Mahna Mahna. He had to explain himself while trick or treating quite a bit. Maybe next year there’ll be more Mahna Mahna’s around since the movie reintroduced him?!?!

True! All you need is a matching orange vest!

My husband would love this as a hunters hat. May need to investigate. Christmas is coming.

The Crazy Orange Hat Lady is fine, but The Crazy Orange CAT Lady would be even better!! 😉

I’m an avid reader from the UK and am so glad you posted this vid – last Friday there was a Children in Need tv charity event where lots of celebs and tv programmes come together to perform and record things to entertain the public while also trying to raise money. One of the highlights for me was the muppets doing the song you just posted. I would post a link but most of them only work in the UK so search “children in need 2011 muppets” on youtube and you should be able to find the clip! There will probably be loads of people that you might not know if you’re in the US but let me know and I can tell you who they are!

I’ll be going to my in-laws for Turkey dinner. I’ll probably be singing that Mahna Mahna song….they have children, so wonder if they will recognize it! It is contagious!

So, umm, how is the movie?
