It’s been a few years since I was able to spend father’s day with my dad, but I like to take a part of this day to be thankful for him just the same. It’s a sad day, but it’s a happy occasion to look back and remember how much I was loved.
So happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there, and all the kids (big or small) who were fortunate enough to have a great dad in the first place. This is a happy day indeed.
I read both your posts on Father’s Day. This one and the one about the letters. I have never posted on here before but I adore your blog. I just wanted say that your father sounds like he was an amazing man. It brought tears to my eyes and made me hug my children a little tighter. I am so thankful I read those two posts because it reminds me that the little things we do for our kids actually matter even if we don’t realize it. I know it must be a bitter sweet holiday for you. I think the letters are quite possibly the sweetest thing I have ever heard of.
What a special man and a great memories.
