One time somebody wrote on my Facebook wall “You talk about cats too much. They are so ugly!!!!” and then I got offended and cyber stalked them until I realized they were a dog person. And a Cardinals fan. And she plays way too much Candy Crush. And even though she said my fur baby was “ugly” I will not describe her kids as “ugly”, so let’s just say they didn’t get hit with the pretty stick. But mostly, based on Facebook, I’d say she was a dog person.
I get it. Dog people get tired by cat people. Same in reverse. This isn’t going to change any time soon.
This is funny because I am a dog person too. I am mostly a cat person because logistically it would be difficult for me to provide a proper home for a dog, (and yeah, okay, Lolabelle would go feral all over the poor dog’s face), but that does not mean I don’t like dogs. Just to prove it, I am seriously considering getting one.
…made out of merino wool.
This place will take a photo of your dog and make it into a stuffed animal. Love it.
Only thing I don’t love is that they don’t offer the service for cats.
Can you believe that?
Calm down, Lola. We’ll get you one. Or make you one. I’ll start saving your fur and with any luck, we can felt one up in the crock pot by next spring.
Lola made me spit out my diet coke!
“didn’t get hit with the pretty stick” hahahahaha!!!!!
I’d keep Lola away from your computer now she’s seen these, or you might be getting an unexpected Amazon delivery… http://www.amazon.co.uk/Crafting-Cat-Hair-Cute-Handicrafts/dp/1594745250
Yes, we have a couple copies of this at home. Including one sent to Lola direct from the publisher. Her review on such matters is very much in demand!
The Lola picture avec quote is too freakin’ good!
this is AWESOME!!! (and I’m in the same camp as you are; I’m a both person, but I spend more time with the dog-babies, who love on me more, so usually, I’m a dog person. but cats/kitties (especially on YouTube) are just as awesome!)
I love cats and dogs (I was a cat person first, but I was also a dog trainer until my spine liquified. I miss it a lot. The job I meant, but also my spine.) I have totally been saving my thickest furred cat’s hair to felt into something in his honor, so I hope you weren’t kidding about the crock pot! I want to see a tutorial here!
Ha! Okay. I’m saving up fur. We’ll see what happens!
HAHAHHAHAHA I die. Lola’s photo is hilarious. I think she should submit her photo to the dog people and just see what they do. Are they really going to say no to cold hard cash (and by cash, I mean a PayPal transfer)?
Also – I don’t mind listening to stuff about cats even though I’m a dog person. Cats are cute. And strange.
Start saving your dryer lint (bound to have some cat hair in there, too) and create your own line of blinged out lint-kitties art! 🙂 http://flextiles.wordpress.com/2011/02/14/last-supper-in-lint/ BTW- I don’t understand the whole “cat person/dog person” thing. Animals have personalities, just like people, and should be judged on a case-by-case basis. Some cats are buttheads. Some dogs are idiots. I’ve met a perfectly enchanting warthog, broke my heart to leave her at the zoo. Sigh….
“broke my heart to leave her at the zoo.” XD!!! Oh my god I had the same feeling for a giraffe once. Beautiful.
great post… a great guffaw to start my day….
Hilarious all the way through! -Lo
Hilarious! Love those wool dogs too. Not that I am a dog person- love them both, though I have neither.
I love both. I’ve always had both, & I always will… allergies be damned!! Why would they not offer to make cats?! Tell em Lola!
I love the everything out of this post!
