Happy Monday my friend. It’s Memorial day here in the USA, which is actually a very somber occasion dedicated to fallen soldiers, but mostly we celebrate it with grilled meat and gardening. Hashtag: MERICA
After an epic day of weeding and BBQ yesterday, it’s now pouring rain and I’m feeling a little relieved to have a valid excuse to stay indoors and catch up on all the odds-n-bobs I have neglected lately. Or, I could cruise the internet for nifty things to distract us all from any sort of useful productivity. You’re welcome!

I actually never read Goodnight Moon til just now. BUT when I was a kid, my favourite book was Never Tease a Weasel. It’s the book I learned to read with. I would love to get my hands on a copy of the original with the funky pictures! (1964)
You can knit a kitten mittens
And perhaps that cat would purr.
You could fit a fox with socks
That exactly matched his fur.
You could make a goat a coat with a collar trimmed in mink
Or give a pig a wig
In a dainty shade of pink.
But never tease a weasel;
This is very good advice.
A weasel will not like it
And teasing isn’t nice!
As for the Ultra Spiritual…I watched it and laughed so much. I laughed because I have tried to be there (bacon is one of my main food groups), and know lots of people that ARE there…. The thing is though, I went to his site and he seems to actually be an emotional counsellor, so his vids are sorta a tongue in cheek which really do hit the nail on the head. I think what he’s saying is that you should be who you are rather than conform to a “uniform” of what apparently constitutes “being spiritual”…or proving somehow that you are spiritual by how many (apparently) spiritual things you do….. so I guess my glitter, big black dyed hair, and lipstick self is safe. Long live lipliner! lol!!!
