Any audiobook authorities out there? The chilly weather and a pile of work has me in the mood for some new audiobooks. I’m think murder mysteries. Maybe a scary story or two. Recommendations welcome!

I highly recommend the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series by Laurie R. King. They are very engagingly read by Jenny Sterlin.

I’m a weirdo, so not sure if you’d like this, but my favorite audiobook is by Jonathan Maberry, Patient Zero. The reader, Ray Porter, can do so many voices, and do them well, you can’t help but react out-loud at times. It’s a zombie thing, so there’s some scary, but mystery too. I loved it!

It’s not scary or a mystery but if you haven’t listened to the night circus you totally should. It’s magical and entrancing and beautifully written and read by Jim dale who could read me the dang phone book and I’d be happy. 🙂
