Hello. It’s me. I was wondering if after all these months you’d like to meet. In a place. Called Etsy…
That’s right folks. When I wasn’t rewriting Adele lyrics, I reopened my Etsy shop. Now open for business!
And as many of you requested, this round I have a print available – Bite Me Sheila. She even comes in snazzy ultra white mat. You can pop her in a readymade 11×14″ frame and call it a day. Or, just to be extra cute, you could hang her up next to, get this folks; A COORDINATING CUSHION COVER.
I know. These girls are pretty cute too! I went through four rounds trying to get the fabric just right, and I think it paid off. The back is a solid linen color and the combination of mega color + neutral makes them work in just about any environment. I know. I’m considerate like that.
Also.
There are four mega rad, one of a kind, jumbo canvases in need of good homes. Like this gal:
She’s called Joan Collins Blue, named after my new obsession with Dynasty (more on that later). Also, this fella is enormous:

So what are you waiting for? Your pillows need new prom dresses – let’s go!
PS: I also listed 33 pieces of smaller original art and you guys cleaned me out! I thought 33 was more than enough to keep everyone happy and the shop stocked. Nope! SO THIS IS THE BEST PROBLEM EVER. (And I’m telling you, it pays to be the early worm on my mailing list). Thank you to everyone who has already bought pieces, and a bunch of you even bought multiple pieces (didn’t see that one coming!) There is a second wave of work in the pipeline but it’ll be another week or two until I get time to photograph and post it. For now, the post office is calling my name. Stay tuned!

GOOD GOLLY! Your stuff just gets me every time! I’m hoping that one of these days I’ll have the privilege of owning one of your originals. Seriously, never stop creating. You inspire me to maybe break out the ol’ oil paints this summer and get to making stuff.

I THINK a tote bag might be in order. In a different color way than the pillow. Possibly of the same sort of fabric. Or, a tote bag like Vineyard Vines makes: a canvas bottom, colored straps and a two or three inch border of patter all around the top. that would be a nice project to get ready for Christmas. I would like some Lola Christmas cards. She is the queen of everything, so it would be appropriate. Do you have any tote bag people near you? there is one near me, but it is mostly canvas with a possibility of a silk screen logo or design. How about more fun that a mess of possums? Glad you are doing well.

So when I started the product/production dreams I made a list of 30 items that would lend themselves to my art – totebags were #1! I really would love to see it happen. Unfortunately, I had four samples made late 2015…they were all find but none of them were the sort of quality that would warrant the price tag. Probably around $60 for a bag I wouldn’t pay $20 for, maybe $10. They were all nice bags but not worth that kind of money. Small batch manufacturing is no joke. I’d be tempted to double down and invest in a decent quantity to keep prices down, but after seeing the pillows get so much attention without the matching sales #s, it’s best I keep to small batches for now! 🙂

I agree and nice Aunt Peach’s tote would be awesome!

I made some fabric up for our town. It is very personal, and has town buildings on it. I was thinking of approaching Tervis, the plastic insulated tumbler company to see how much they would charge to put it inside their glasses. Then We would sell them at our local sales. Something to consider.

OMSheila! That is stunning. I LOVE It.

I miss the back stories! I loved reading the explanantion for the names on the last round. Did I just miss it on these?
Also, congratulations on the tremendous success of your sale!

Some folks said they liked the work less after being ‘told’ what it was about (as opposed to being left to self interpretation) (which doesn’t make me feel good)…and some folks liked pieces strictly because of the titles/explanations and not the visual work (which is kind but also doesn’t make me feel good). So, this time without. I might do them for some of the bigger pieced moving forward, and for certain series. The paper pieces in this batch ‘Jurgen’s Flower Shop’ has a very elaborate back story. That is a post in the making!

I’m on your mailing list and as soon as I got your email I checked the shop. It was already down to 11 pieces! By the time I got home there were 5! I tried to be the early worm! I really would like to buy one of the ones still up but alas I’m still supposed to buy food! Thank you for sharing your art with us. When you have enough, please PLEASE have another sale!
