Total bummer about the camera! I bought a Sony a35 a couple years ago and it has been SO AWESOME to me. I recently bought a 35mm lens for it and the images have been perfectly lovely. It might be worth checking that out for a mid-range DSLR.
Cut our cable, too… by half. Feels so good, so good, so good. In the process, found out they were charging us for a feature we did not have – they owed us over $150. A nice bonus. Check those print-outs!!
Sorry your Rebel is rebelling. I shoot with a Nikon D90 that I’ve had for years. Love, love my buddy NIK, as it’s been personified on my blog!
I purchased a pair of sanuk flip flops last summer and they are the most comfortable flip flops I’ve ever owned EVER! (I can even walk my dogs long distances in them with out blisters). Key & Peele substitute teacher made me laugh so hard I sobbed the 1st time I saw it.
Key and Peele are hilarious!! This skit, OMG! I actually experienced this once with a 4th grade substitute teacher who told me (in front of the whole class) that I was either pronouncing my name incorrectly or that my mother mispelled it! She added like 2 extra syllables. (fyi: its simply pronounced ā-sha) ….and even Suri pronounces it correctly, so take that Ms. Substitute Lady wherever you are!
I’m still on the upward curve of learning better/good/great photography but hadn’t even thought about the life of my lens! I’m scared! I don’t want mine to give up! I have got my eye on a couple but perhaps your dear readers would be kind enough to suggest their favourites for a Canon that work well for food photos?
Late to the post – but I love these monthly wrap-ups! Looking forward to much laughter watching Key and Peele and saw a woman wearing the Sanuk flip flops and they look sooo comfy.

A broken camera can be really annoying … Key and Peele are so funny however!
