Did you know that a yellow ribbon on a dog leash means that dog needs extra space (ie. keep your dog and kid away)? Great idea. Likewise, I wish someone would start up with green ribbons so I would know that dog is friendly. (Or they could just do this).

My dog has a green ribbon. He also has a green bandana to reinforce his goomba image. A purple one and a couple of black/n/white ones… no red even if he’s a black dog. Green ribbons are his thing now. I’m explaining that one to everyone who asks to pet him. (His name is Rio).

Totally with you on the dog leash warning system. My one year old LOVES dogs and beelines for them constantly. And I’m always having to ask “Is your dog friendly?” The friendly dog owners are great, but those that aren’t sometimes look at me like “No, and why should he be?” It’s a really weird trend I’ve noticed lately.
