The best distractions from the last month.
The ten most dangerous places in New York city.
Where a bicycle is sweetly subversive.
37 Sloth items. I want all of them. All. Of. Them.
Speaking of cuteness, did someone say French bulldog dressed as a snail?
And here is a spooky facelift for egg cartons.
I’m on a podcast binge. Anyone have any suggestions? Here is my recent fav: Stuff You Should Know. 30-60 min crash courses on all sorts of things you always sorta knew but not really. Recent highlights: How Fair Trade Works, How Revisionist History Works, and What are Japanese Stragglers? Fascinating.
I totally failed this very simple test. Bet you will too.
Bizarre stuff about popular name trends. Follow the animated GIF long enough and you’ll think Jennifer is a viral outbreak.
My facebook feed appears to be filled with tow types of messages; “RIP Lou Reed” and “Who is Lou Reed?” For the latter, watch this.

Any woman who has bought or made a costume for a little girl should see this.
And as long as we are on the subject of women in costume, shall we take a moment to appreciate my niece Abby’s pre-‘ween adventure as Little Edie from Grey Gardens? I think so.
Podcasts – you HAVE to listen to “Answer Me This” with Helen and Ollie!
The Tin Man series on http://pferdzwackur.com/ is long, but fabulous!
I had to watch the video THREE times before I saw the bear. I also just found out that sloths live in Panama. Since I lived there for nearly three years I’m glad I never saw one. We lived right next to the jungle, too.
I knew there was a bear because of the previous comment by Nutbird, and I STILL missed it.
If you like humour, you should watch episodes of the Ricky Gervais show. It’s an older podcast, dont know if they are making anymore of them, but we howl at some of the shenanigans to the point of belly pain. And the BEST part of the show is that, although a podcast, it’s put to cartoon characters who resemble the old Hanna Barbera cartoons (think Flintstones). Love Rook.
I saw the bear video at a work training, and a couple weeks before, someone else on my team was discussing it with my boss. My boss said he bet I would spot the trick, so I knew something was up. But no. I DID NOT BELIEVE IT when the video was replayed.
I do a lot of repetitive, mindless tasks at work and podcasts keep me sane. I love most of the NPR ones, especially Radiolab–if you aren’t already listening to it, you have to! It’s amazing!
Oh my goodness, totally missed the moonwalking bear. Loved the girl costume site, so cute and admirable.
