Guys, this is important.
Do you know what this is?
It’s a welcome mat.
You know what it’s made of?
FLIP-FLOPS.
A welcome mat made of flip flips. And it’s rainbow. And ruffled with ridges. And super koosh.
Is koosh spelled with a k or a c? Not that I give a rip because I’m talking about my new flip-flop welome mat. Aghhgg! This is exciting!
I know what you are thinking; Did you make that? No. I didn’t. I could have made it but it would have cost me $40 in foam rubber flip flops, which would be a pretty stupid purchase on my part considering I can buy this readymade rug at World Market for $16.99. Folks, I’m tell you — recycled goods, lookin’ good!

Super pretty and eco wonderful! But you know I’d take it apart and use the pieces as beads.
I have one of those! I don’t remember what store I found it at only that it was on clearance for about $7, they had two of them and I still get mad at myself for not buying both. I hope whoever got the other one appreciates as much I as would have.
$7?! Lucky you!
My achy, swollen, pregnant lady feet want to step all over this!
It really does feel nice underfoot. I thought it would make a great sink mat for anyone with back problems.
Feel better, feet!
That’d work great in front of the kitchen sink!
Lighthouse for the Blind used to , and may still, make these in one of their workshops. You know they won’t wear out for a long while.
That’s good to know. Someone on Facebook was saying they didn’t last long. I doubt they are all made the same, but it’s rubber…it would take real effort to wear it down. Also, what a cool project for blind people. That’s awesome!
