Yesterday I ran a wordle on my blog and it told me my most prominent word was “Lola.”
Which is really just the internet’s way of saying “Whoa girl, you need to chill it with the cat lady thing.”
So it occurs to me that some of y’all might not be cat people. Some of y’all might be dog people. And to those who have had their fill of me talking Cat Lady all the time, this is my Valentine to you: meet Pickles.
Pickles the pug is the model and muse behind Sweethoots, the talented mother and daughter team responsible for these glorious hats. Julie and Bernadette tell me that “Pickles is very much a diva. Pickles loves being in the spotlight.”
Be sure to check out Julie and Bernadette’s store for all sorts of amazing creations. “We are able to custom fit any hat when provided with the correct measurements. We have made hats for 3.5 yorkies all the way up to Irish wolfhounds.”
Hear that? Those Irish wolfhounds are big as ponies. That means your pony dog can now take a St. Patrick’s day stroll in the park dressed as a Mork & Mindy style leprechaun. You are so welcome.
Happy Valentines Day, Pickles!
Oh man! That makes me smile! Love it all!
I like dogs alot. Had a min pin awhile back. But as far as I’m concerned you can never mention cats too often. I have two but am well on my way to being a crazy cat lady.

I have been talking about wanting to adopt a pug for YEARS. The hubby thinks they’re ugly, but I believe there are things in our future that he will just have to live with… Thank you for posting this, I can’t think of a better Valentine than that first picture.
The Yoda hat is about the coolest thing I have ever seen worn by a dog. You would be a fabulous dogmom. C’mon, get one, get one!
But if Lola says no, I understand.
Cats rule. Dogs drool.
cat lady, dog lady, it’s all good. i think “crazy cat lady” should be renamed “crazy pet lady,” cuz it doesn’t matter what kind of pet you have, they will turn you crazy (in a good way). i myself am a dogmom, & i am indeed crazy 🙂
Pugs in particular are perfect for these type of hats. They have crazy personalities. Plus they have the weird face for them. I like to dress mine up like old church ladies (pls see attached photo).
Oh! I have to have a Carmen Miranda hat for my lovely beastie, pronto. No longer negotiable. Now that I know this exists, it has to happen…
Pronto is right! It NEEDS to happen!
sounds cute!
Shhhh. Don’t tell the dog people!
This is the problem. Lola does not like dogs. She also does not like cats. And me, half the time. But she is very, very fond of herself!
Can’t blame you. I couldn’t live without my Lola either. (Lola is a great pug name, btw!)
I know, aren’t pugs adorable? I want one so bad!
