You guys. How is already another new year? I’m not even used to writing 2014 on my checks and here it is, come and gone. Golly. I’ll level with you, for me, 2014 is going to be a hard year to beat! Professionally, personally and just as a person, I crossed a lot of hurdles in 2014. Actually, I think I crossed about five items off my life list in the last month alone. It’s an exciting time! Of course, as with most things in life…along with the sweet comes the bitter. My cycle of success and failure in the last 12 months is not something I will soon forget. This adventure into owning my own business has brought about some signifigant changes for me and it’s hard to think back to a year ago today, December 31, 2013, when I sat down and wrote out what I wanted to see in the year ahead. Now I sit down to map out the mountain to climb in 2015 and I find that I am not nearly as concerned about where I am going as much as who is coming along for the journey.
That means you.
That means all of you. All of you who stop by this acre of internet to gawk at the cat lady with a penchant for rhinestones. All of you who have chimed in to share your thoughts, your insights, your experiences. All of you who never leave comments but still check in 5 times a week just the same, always keeping my page views up and my ad revenue predictable (which, let me tell you, is kinda important for us self-employed types). And all of you who have been here, hanging out, giving me a place to plop down whatever particular breed crazy I feel like serving this week. All of you, thank you.
Best wishes to you and yours for a happy, safe, healthy, loaded-with-confetti-and-whatever-else-floats-your-boat, new year. Cheers to us!
Hey Peaches, Thank you for being a bright spot in my day! Here’s to a great 2015!
Aww you’re the sweetest! Thank you!!!
Thank you for entertaining me! I love the way your prolific mind works! Happy new year to you too!
Thanks for bringing us along for the ride! I’m looking forward to more uses for fake eyelashes coupled with hilarious personal antidotes and heartfelt open letters Neil Diamond! Here’s to 2015!!
Just sayin, Peaches, we just love you! Happy New Year and Best Wishes!
I’m coming along for the journey, also! It was an interesting year. I got to visit 4 more countries and made several new friends. I’m working on what to do the next 2 years. Something like “7 Before Seventy.” I want to make a music/dance video, climb a big mountain, like Mt Fuji or a 14,000er in Colorado, run in a 10k snowshoe race, plank for 5-6 minutes, etc. You add sparkle to our lives, Peaches! Keep it up.
Happy New Year!
I don’t always comment but I do always check out your new posts so I hope that helps with the ad revenue. I really enjoyed the magazine article – bought it just for your story! Really, Really want to make one of those wreaths this year – with the strips of colorful fabric. Thanks for adding all the sparkel!
Party on Aunt Peaches, party on!
Thanks for being here for me with all of your wonderful craftiness, cat photos, glitter, flamingos and everything else that is Aunt Peaches!
Happy 2015! Looking forward to another great year!
You are always a bright spot of the internet for me! Thanks for all you do and here’s to a great 2015! x
What can I add to the comments above? You are pretty dang awesome and it’s truly a pleasure to be a fan. I’m always wondering, “What did Aunt Peaches get herself into today?” But perhaps more importantly I should ask, “What is Aunt Peaches going to get ME into today?” I recently held an “Ugly Sweater Ornament Making Party” and it was a huge success. I had 11 girlfriends over and they had a blast. We each made two, kept one & traded the other among us. Of course, I gave YOU props. Thanks for the great idea! Keep ’em coming…(no pressure!)
Eileen! Pictures, Woman! Pictures!!!
Thanks for everything you share with us here – I think you are great! Hope your 2015 just keeps getting better!
Happy new year! My sister (who lives far far away) and I both follow you. There are many of your posts which we send to each other in a “isn’t Peaches rad!” type way. About a month ago, I said to my sis: I wish all three of us (okay, that means me, my sister and you) lived on the same street so we could hang out and glitter bomb the neighbourhood together. She totally agreed. Hope that doesn’t sound weird. I just read that over and dang it does sound weird, but hopefully the non weird love comes through.
Ha! I’m down to glitter bomb any day.
I wanted to let you know that I look forward to every new blog post – even though I don’t comment often. I was happy to see that you did the Hampden Christmas lights, is it not the BEST! (I live down the highway in Columbia). You are a bight spot in my otherwise Executive Assistant life. I smile every time my son asks “is there nothing you won’t bedazzle?” (this time it was the Styrofoam skull) Here’s hoping for a terrific new year – for both of us! 😉
OK, I am buying that you like to read the comments, so…
Yours is my favourite craft blog in the whole planet – I think you are a craft genius – your eye and your unique approach is both inspiring and reassuring – plus you can really write and blog immaculately – I read the post about Neil Diamond and also the one about the false nail – they are above and beyond anything else I have read on a blog – the one about the false nail is masterful and human.
Plus you get how to make crafts for kids! And you use hair clips! And coffee filters! And you have a Christmas tree with flamingos! You must be perfect.
Love from London xxx
You are very sweet to say so. Thanks 🙂
Okay, I’m one of those who doesn’t usually comment, but I thought I’d say Happy New Year! and I think you are your website are wonderful and amazing. <3
