A fascinating peek inside these haute couture ateliers.
Gilbert Blythe is dead. Heart = broken.
Watch a documentary on a small town overrun with spiritual mediums. Whoa.
Speaking of documentaries, have you seen the Scientology expose, Going Clear? I’m really uncomfortable with these sort of “gotcha” stories pointed at people’s religious beliefs, but I’m also a little obsessed at what constitutes the line between religion and cult. I can’t decide if I feel guilty, giddy, or horrified.
The last unknown place in NYC is a small island formerly used as a small-pox hospital.
How a shoe that grows could change the nature of childhood poverty.
Women having a terrible time at parties throughout Western art history. Don’t even pretend you don’t relate.
The forgotten treehouses of Paris.
If you are in Rhode Island, you need to take this paper flower class with my old school pal, Kelly. If you have ever been to the Anthropologie store in Rockefeller Center, you have probably seen her flower making skills in action. Go sign up!
Ahahahaha amazing links, I love you Aunt Peaches you fuel my procrastination and creative ambitions. XO
I aim to please!
The “better conversations” link goes to the haute couture site. Help! Also, where do I get my Anne of Green Gables fix in my mourning? I have Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix. Ended up watching BBC’s Pride and Prejudice (yeah, the one with Colin Firth) and Little Women as a bandaid for the time being yesterday.
It’s not on Amazon Prime? That’s unusual! Good news is you can find the full movies on Youtube if need be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W8VL_OB8M0 Sound quality isn’t great, and I’d rather support the folks who made it…but you gotta do what you gotta do. Libraries always seem to stock it but I’ll bet there is a waiting list this month 🙁
Disregard that link — it’s spam. I KNOW I watched it on Youtube before. Let me hunt around.
Thanks for the reminder- my library has it and no one has checked it out! Apparently I’m the only one in my town in mourning.
Psst..better conversations links to the haute couture link. Unless you meant we should talk about feathers.
got it — thanks!
I love looking at the links you find for us. I would never find them on my own (tech illiterate). I was totally fascinated with the one on Lily Dale and so impressed with the growing shoe. Thanks for sharing your finds~

Oh, the tree houses! What a grand romantic time those bohemians were having back in the day.

Oh stop! Thank you Amanda…oooops, I mean Aunt Peaches for the shout out…I’ll have to send you some photos of our workshop! And maybe a flower too. xoxo
