Happy Weekend

Plans this weekend?

I’ll bet you do.

Don’t know about you, but somewhere between the baking and the eggnog, I plan to sneak out to gawk at other people’s Christmas lights. It’s one of my favorite holiday traditions. I’m nosy like that.

Anyone else out there plan on taking pictures? Here are 1, 2, 3 excellent posts on ways to capture beautiful twinkle lights and holiday memories. Even though I like to think I know a thing or two about taking holiday pictures, photographing the trees this year has been a pain in the butt challenge. I appreciate all the help I can get!

Happy weekend 🙂

I hafta tell you that I LOLed as I read through your blog archive. You are hilarious and I wasn’t expecting that. Thanks for the chuckles, kiddo.
I also have to tell you that I made 35 of those coffee filter roses (purple) for my niece’s wedding shower. I now hate purple. Also, I have a sweet pink/peach bouquet of them on my dining room table. I love them. Thanks for the inspiration!!! Anni

This is the best time of year for capturing “mystery”. What IS that? As for best hints, I’ve been trying to master shooting outside lights at dusk… when the sun has gone down but ambient light is still plentiful. If shooting through the lights and towards the sky, this technique offers amazing results and an even more amazing BLUE sky, even on a cloudy day, and without PhotoShop! Go figure. I’m not quite “there”, yet; but I’ve got tons of patience, when it comes to photography. Enjoy my “Reflecting Tree”, taken last night. The real one is pretty, too. Happy Holidays, Peaches. I look forward to tons of interaction in 2012.
