In 1620, when the pilgrims landed on Plymouth Rock, you have to wonder what sorts of thoughts came to their mind; Will we find food? Will we survive the winter? Will our descendants remember our sacrifices? Will they gather around the harvest table with tasteful accoutrements such as indigenous corn, inherited gravy boats, and spangled and feathered turkey sunglasses?
Good news, pilgrims. The answer is yes.
Many thanks to Sunglass Warehouse for inviting me to join a team of creative bloggers bling’n up sunglasses with holiday spirit. Some serious jingle situation going down! Watch out y’all, they brought the glitter.
You can see instructions for my turkey glasses here, but pop around because they also put together a holiday playlist and entertaining tips for your next party! Who needs ugly ol’ Christmas sweaters when you can have mega-festive sunglasses? Hellz yeah!.
Those are awesome. I know some little nieces and nephews who are going to need some fancy thanksgiving shades.
Wahoo!
I wish I had seen this a month ago! I could have gotten those shadeless glasses at the Halloween shop and made ten of these to wear while watching football. We would totally wear them but they’d come off as soon as anyone wanted to see the game. Maybe I’ll just make one for me to pass around instead.
Good new Sar, they sell clear glasses too: http://www.sunglasswarehouse.com/fake-clear-glasses.html AND AND AND if your fam is real hard core, you could customize the feather colors to team colors (I don’t know that it would be pilgrim appropriate but it would certainly be festive. Turkeys deserve a break from brown, I say.).
I bet the pilgrims would’ve been all over these. 🙂
Yippeee Skipeee These are awesome!
I am so glad I clicked on the link to the tutorial. Seeing them worn and worn with a turkey hat just made my day!
Am SO doing this! Already thinking ahead to all the holidays and concocting fetching eyewear for all! Thank you!
These are wonderful!!! And I can already see a pair of Mardis Gras sunglasses in my future!!!

Making these to celebrate Hanukkah and thanksgiving! I can’t wait!
