Happy Friday everybody! Apologies for the radio silence over here. A screaming case of hip bursitis landed me bed bound for a few days. I know. Does that sound like fun?
Thanks to doctors who make house calls, four separate injections of steroids into my hip joint, and a steady stream of Judy Garland size servings of muscle relaxers…I am on the road to recovery. Praise God! I’m still not quite “with it” enough to drive or operate machinery or even read a proper book, but I figure I can sputter out a blog post to share the greatest news ever: the Iris Apfel movie. It is here!
I’ll be chilling out in bed with Netflix for a couple more days (viewing recommendations welcome). I’ll see you guys next week!

So sorry to hear you’ve been in pain. Ouch! Here’s my contribution to cheer you up…Paradise. Have you watched this British TV series on Netflix? It’s such a visual treat. I watched three seasons in three days. I’ve also been enjoying Rosemary & Thyme in a British Murder-She-Wrote kind of way. It’s worth it just to see all the beautiful flowers in every scene. Take care Peaches.

Is that The Paradise — about the department store — because I loved that one! But I will look up just plain “Paradise” too.

Sorry to hear about ur hip pain…ouch! But those Judy pain killers!
One of the best series on Netflix is Avatar: The Last Airbender…the animated series…NOT THE MOVIE!!!!!!!
BTW – love ur website.
aunt peaches
I’ll loo that up for sure — thanks, Jerry!
Nancy
Peaches, I’m so sorry to read about your hip situation! Feel better soon. Call Lola over to lay on top of you and purr. Good vibrations.
aunt peaches
Thanks, Nancy!!

How did that happen? Too much tap dancing? When you get better, start with the Apple Cider Vinegar regimen. It really helps joints and inflammation in the body. Netflixs. Orange is the new Black of course, also that series Spy, or is that Hulu? Coupling is still funny. You might have to start taking yoga.
aunt peaches
No tap dancing. I have had bursitus flare ups my whole life (was born with a dislocated hip and it never quite settled in the socket right)…usually I can handle with Ibprofen and some awkward yoga. This round was a whole never level of pain. Really hoping this is not a pattern.

Are you going to help style me when I get as old as Iris? Or at least 80? I need to start buying bigger things.

Netflix: Monarch of the Glen. My latest fix.
LeAnne Osburne
sorry you are having trouble–hope you feel better soon.

Thanks, LeAnne!

Oh, man, so sorry to find out about your hip (I had a full hip replacement late last summer).
Here’s some instant Netflix for your hours: 20 feet from stardom / Bill Cunningham / Art of the steal / Bernie / Boccaccio ’70 (60’s style) / Bomb Girls (series) / Cairo time / Chef (this year’s big hit) / Chinatown (30s style) / Danny Deckchair (so sweet) / Extraordinary Adventures of Adele (French) / the Grocer’s Son (French countryside) / Kinky Boots / Land Girls (series)
OK, gotta stop at “L”, hope you recovery quickly and are back to getting into creative trouble with glitter real soon!

If you need some comic relief, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmit is pretty good. It fills the hole in my TV viewing 30 Rock left (it’s co-created by Tina Fey). Hope your hip feels better soon!
aunt peaches
Oh yes! I devoured Kimmy soon as she came out. Love that show!

I just love your blog. I just discovered it. Can you share with us where you got those glasses? I love glasses and would like to know where everyone gets these “super-hip” pairs. Do tell Aunt Peaches.
aunt peaches
Hmmm…not sure I know what you are looking at. Which glasses?
